1953 Austin Sheerline
A luxury saloon manufactured by Austin of England.
1953 Austin Sheerline Labelled originally as a poor mans Bentley Mk VI, but actually a much rarer car these days. About 9,000 produced, but many were butchered for those wonderful headlights and other parts to keep the Austin/Vandan Plas A135 limousines running. Some A125 limousine versions were made, but these were not very attractive. |
A distinctive razor edge bodywork with IFS, hydraulic brakes, lots of wood and leather, four gears on the column, sunroof and unusual square instruments make a very attractive vehicle. Based on a very sturdy separate chassis. |
